What FakeMirror adds
FakeMirror is built for Windows users who want a local virtual camera workflow without sending webcam footage to FakeMirror servers.
The app installs a desktop controller and the FakeMirror Camera virtual camera driver/runtime. After recording a short loop, you can select FakeMirror Camera from the camera list in supported meeting apps.

Privacy and trust basics
Recorded webcam footage stays on your computer. FakeMirror does not upload the loop video to FakeMirror servers.

- No. Webcam footage and loops stay on your PC.
- Does it work on macOS?
- The current public installer is for Windows 10/11. macOS is in progress.
- Can I remove it?
- Yes. Remove FakeMirror through Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, then restart meeting apps.
